When Black Women Lead

When Black Women Lead is a project of Heartland Action 501(c)(4). When Black Women Lead is designed to create a direct platform of engagement between black women of faith, black women voters, black women in elected office, and black women running for office in Missouri. We believe When Black Women Lead we move towards equity and justice for all.

In 2024 When Black Women Lead will host three town halls designed for political education on key issues impacting Black Women and their communities. State Ballot Initiatives on Sick Leave and Minimum Wage, Putting Reproductive Rights on the Ballot, and Judiciary Accountability. Elected officials will also hear voices of black women on issues that impact them as they push policy, put forward a platform, and prepare to vote.
